Merry Christmas, happy holidays. All I know is I finally have 2 complete days off from ALL work, and I'm lovin' life right now. My daughter is happy with her Christmas, and I'm off to the family thang. Here's wishing holiday blessings on all my friends and acquaintances. You all enrich my life to some degree, and I am thankful for you.

Entry for December 08, 2005
Wow, the holidays are in full swing and I am feeling pretty tired from working the late nights. The worst part is knowing everything I have to do, and not having enough energy to care whether or not it gets done. My christmas tree is laying on my front lawn like a dead deer, and has been there over a week already. I cut my own this year, not having even a small clue how much work was involved in that process. LOL...but the whole experience was alot of fun, and JUJUBEAR had a blast. I'm thinking of all my friends, and hope you all have the most wonderful Holiday Season. Lets hope for better economies and lower oil prices for 2006. To my fellow flower people....keep your chins up. We are the best at what we do.

L.L. Bean & ME!
I just finished my training at the LL Bean call center here in Lewiston. I start officially tomorrow evening.... I wasn't nervous about the season...after all, I've been in retail for forever, right? However, the thought of working 70 - 90 hours a week again has made me increasingly nervous about my capacity to handle those hours, keep my business afloat, raise a child, and look out for an aging parent. I remember weeks of hours like that 8 years ago...I don't feel any older than I did 8 years ago, but I know I am! It was tough then, will I survive now? I guess the key is to keep from thinking on it too much, and continue to take my bp meds!! LOL. For those reading, keep me in ur thoughts and good wishes, and send out happy thoughts to my baby girl, she's not liking this too much AT ALL.

Just got done Fryeburg Fair!
Well, I survived the Fryeburg Fair again this year. This was my 3rd time attending the fair as a board member for Maine State Florists' & Growers' association, and I had a great time again. Wednesday, my first day, I got to be a design assistant, and a runner...sort of a Vanna White for the crowd. Housed in Expo One, MSF&GA's Fryeburg Fair Flower Show is the largest live designing spectacle put on for the public in the state. Today is Saturday, and it's raining, and I am SOOOOOO glad not to be there...I definitely know it's gonna be packed to capacity. Thursday, I got to be a comentator, talking to the audience about the designs they were seeing. Plus we got to do trivia and give-aways this year. It was all alot of fun, even tho my throat was raw by the end. The best part is that I looked really competent (for once!), and my shop got alot of great positive publicity. I'm so hoping we can have a really good holiday season, and overcome this stupid thing called poverty! While I love what I do, and in a very big way, I would really love it a whole lot more if I could get paid.
